Support for returning to country of origin
If you have had your application for asylum rejected and have to return to your country of origin you may be entitled to support from the Migration Board Italy. You can apply for cash support, but there are also other forms of support to help you to return to society in your country of origin.
Cash support for re-establishment
Cash support, so-called reestablishment support, is paid to persons who have to return to a country where there is limited scope for reestablishment because of the security situation.
You are entitled to the support if you have to return to any of the following countries:
Afghanistan, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, El Salvador, Eritrea, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Palestine, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia.
Other forms of support
There are also other forms of support to help you to return to society in your country of origin. These forms of support are offered to people who have to return to their country of origin and who need help, for example, to get onto the job market or who need legal advice.
The support is now being offered to those who are returning to the following countries:
Armenia, Bangladesh, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Egypt, Mongolia, Ethiopia, Morocco, Pakistan, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Gambia, Somaliland, El Salvador, Palestine and Jordan.
People who return by force (that is, with the Police) to Armenia and Mongolia can currently not receive this support.
